A Much Needed Case

I, like most people, am rarely without my iPad.  I have an “everyday” case on it, but I wanted something more to keep the charger and stylus with it.

Since this was a fun project for me, I dug into the precious stuff (really I need to do this more often!) I put together some of my favorite Alison Glass prints and got to work.

I didn’t follow a pattern, just used the measurements of my iPad with the case on. I wanted it to close, so I added the band to close it up. It also covers up the zippered pocket for a clean look on the front.

My iPad slips right behind that zippered pocket. The pouch folds up and I’m ready to go!

I fully intended to write up a quick tutorial for this, but I was running out of time and my pictures for the second half aren’t so hot, so I might not post the tutorial. We will see. In the meantime, I’m super glad to have this case all made up. When spending so much time sewing for others, it was great to make a little something for myself!

    OH WONDERFUL!!
You did a totally super great job on this and I would really love it if you posted a tutorial because I have been looking for an ipad case with a zip pocket with no luck.

It looks great! I think you should do the tutorial. I for one, would love to make one for my iPad. My everyday case isn’t very pretty.

Looks great!!! Why is it we hoard “special” fabric and never want to cut into it??? Are we planning on using it when we turn 150? I do the same thing – drives me crazy! For this next year, I am determined to use at least 1 special fabric in every quilt I piece! Have a Merry Christmas!!
