::Year of the Wip:: January

::January, 2013::

Well, here we are, one month into 2013 (really?!) and my year of the WIP.  Back in the beginning of January, I declared this the year of the WIP. You can read why I did  here.

I’m not going to lie, it took a while for me to get in the mind frame of having multiple projects.  I decided to have lots of WIPS and then I couldn’t bring myself to start a new quilt until the quilt I was in the middle of quilting was finished.  I thought the Year of the WIP was going to be a bust.  But I was wrong.  After the Paved Stones quilt was out of the way, I was ready to start a bunch of new quilts!

So what are my current WIPs going into February……

My Madrona Road challenge quilt was started and is now just awaiting binding.

When all of the Scrappy Trip Along madness first started, I was in New York so I was watching from afar.  As soon as I got home, I KNEW I wanted to start this one.  I am about half way on the quilt top.

And last but not least, I have a creation with this bunch of goodness up on the design wall.  Unfortunately, I can’t share much of it here yet. But aren’t these prints absolutely gorgeous?!

So for someone who always finishes a quilt before starting a new one, I think I’m off to a great start on my Year of the WIP!

How about you?  Was January a productive month for you as well?
