Alligator Quilt V. 2.0

Over the summer I was commissioned to make an alligator quilt for a little boy’s room.

You can read all about it in this post

I was recently asked to make another one, this time for a little girl, whose room will be done in green and pink.

I drew out the same alligator, basing it off of a template that was used in the little boy’s room, and of course adding a pretty bow for the girl!

I used Kona solids on the front, a cross hatch for the alligator, some Bari J’s Lily Belle on the back and Amy Butler’s Soul Blossoms on the binding and bow.

It is quilted very simply, straight lines making a diamond.

I really enjoyed transforming one of my older creations into something girly.  And, being a boy Mommy, I love every opportunity to sew with sweet, girl colors!
