Happy Friday everyone! This week seemed to fly by with Monday being an extra weekend day. Even though, I am still ready for a weekend! There is some tall ships thing happening in town and I think we are going to venture out to it, should be exciting!
This week I got some work done on my crazy hexagon adventure. This section makes 500 all complete. The whole top row can be found on this post. the whole thing is going to be 4 blocks of 100, by 4 blocks of 100. 1 year into it and I still have A LOT to go!
Most all of last weekend was spent in the backyard, on a quilt. Husband and little one “golfed” and the dog happily running around. Pair that with the best hamburgers on the grill and it’s a happy day!
I thought I had killed my rose bushes by over pruning them. It’s my first time with rose bushes and these were in really rough shape. But all worries can rest aside, I have LOADS of blooms now. In fact, I am able to put fresh roses on my kitchen table everyday and still have plenty of color in the yard. So happy!

I’m convinced that you can’t over prune roses, the harder you take them back, the better they seem to respond the following year. Just have to remember not to apply the same advice to children or animals!
