I used up all of my sewing time today by not sewing. BUT I was productive doing something crafty!
One of the things that have been on my to do list since we moved into the new house is a new wreath. I wasn’t thrilled with the old spring time one we had and the door here is a funny greenish turquoise color (not as hideous as it sounds, but I would rather it be gray or a deep purple!)

So, even though I vowed to never make a wrapped wreath again, here I go. I like using the jute much more than the yarn. The weight and strength of the jute was a lot easier to keep straight and full than the yarn.

I made 2 little braided leaves on the side. I love how they turned out! Making them was my favorite part of the whole thing.
I made some felt flowers to add some color.
And made a loop to hang.
I think I’m still going to paint the letter D purple and hang it in the middle. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, and I was really eager to hang it!
The best part is I put all of the flowers on with straight pins. This way when I want to redo the whole thing I can easily change it out without wrapping yet another wreath. Now when I say I will never wrap another wreath….well….maybe there’s some truth behind that!

Sooo pretty, I love it.
