I recently did a little swap with two of my twitter friends. It was a lot of fun to have a no pressure swap and make some quick little bags to send away to friends.
When I was talking to Lisa, a fellow knitter, we decided that knitting project bags would be a good thing to swap. I made her this one made from Kate Spain’s Good Fourtune line using Jeni B‘s amazing drawstring bag pattern.
I made this one taller than the standard drawstring bag to hopefully be able to fit taller needles.
I also inserted a different print on the bottom to give a little extra character. I love how it turned out and will definitely do that again on future bags!
And I must have been on a Good Fortune kick, since I made another friend a zippy pouch using more prints from this line!
I made this pouch pretty big. Big enough for whatever she wanted to use it for! I put the camera cap in for scale. Wanted to use my phone, or a quarter, or anything other than the lens cap, but little one had just fallen asleep for nap and I didn’t dare go by his room yet! Nap time is precious sewing time and I didn’t want to interrupt that!
Thanks girls for swapping with me! I had a lot of fun taking a break from my to do list and making these bags! Also, thank you for the bags that you made me! (will need to get proper pictures to show you all!) They are perfect!

So cute!!! I bought Jeni’s pattern a few weeks back and am looking forward to making a few bags; I was so pleased when I looked through the pattern that she shows how to make the bag in so many different sizes!
